After weeks of dealing with vertigo and hearing loss, I'm hoping to get back to a regular schedule at school this week. I must give credit to the best substitute in the world, Mrs. Wright, who taught the lessons on the ActiveBoard that I prepared at home.
This week we will pick up where Mrs. Wright left off with the difference between high and low pressure systems. We'll review for a few days, have a quick quiz to see what everyone understands, and move on to clouds and weather maps.
There is also big garden news this week, as well. We will plant the rest of the seeds this week that will become the plants students will bring home for their own "gardens." The should be ready to come home for transplanting the week before spring break begins. But even more importantly, the new Glenvar Grows Greens greenhouse will be erected behind the school on Tuesday, weather permitting. The 5th and 7th period pre-AP classes participated in the verification of a hoop-style greenhouse as the best fit for our school's needs to expand our gardening program. We'll watch as the greenhouse goes up...
