This week we will complete Notepages #1-#4 with a test on rotation, revolution, and seasons; the objects in our solar system; the moon's phases; and Earth's tides. The study guide will be distributed on Monday and should be completed for homework on Monday night. We'll check it for accuracy on Tuesday, and the test will be on Wednesday.
Meanwhile...we'll continue to take the 8-point check-up quiz on the 8 moon phases each day! Like multiplication tables, nothing helps like repetition. Those students who make 2 perfect quiz grades are exempt from any further quizzes, and will be given a free 8 points for each subsequent quiz.
There will be lots more going on in science class this week. We'll continue to mix the compost into our garden soil. (Thanks Mr. Hodges!) It's time to sow seeds under our grow lights, and students will be making decisions about what seedlings they'd like to bring home. Perhaps most importantly, the Space Shuttle Discovery is making its final flight on Thursday before it is retired. We'll be learning about our modern space program as the week ends.
