This week we'll get our first taste of the garden when every class (I hope!) makes and eats "Garden Cornbread." We picked a mixture of kale and mustard greens on Friday (check out pictures on the Glenvar Garden website) and everything should be ready to go when class starts. It takes 15 minutes to bake (upstairs in the Life Skills room Mrs. Mallette so generously shares with us), and we should have just enough minutes to enjoy a piece before the next class. There will be homework on Monday night to get students actively thinking about the content of Notepage #2: Nonrenewable Energy.
