This week we will continue our study of SOL 6.2, Energy, by covering Notepages #1 (Potential v. Kinetic Energy) and #2 (Nonrenewable Energy).
Monday: There will be a variety of special GMS activities on Monday. All students will need to review Chapter 15, Sections 1 and 2, and Notepage #1 for a quiz on Wednesday. The students began this topic last Wednesday. I will do a quick review in class prior to the quiz.
Tuesday: Parent/Teacher conference day. At this time I am scheduled for 35 conferences in 22 time slots. Obviously, I will not be able to see everyone. I will prepare a grade sheet and comments to be given to parents in conferences I cannot attend. Feel free to share your concerns with your school board representative concerning the loss of science teachers in the middle schools.
Wednesday: Notepage #1 Quiz: Kinetic v. Potential energy.
Thursday: Notepage #2: Nonrenewable Energy: The fossil fuels
Friday: Continue nonrenewable energy. Is it possible we might harvest some mustard greens to prepare and eat??
