All students were issued a science workbook at the beginning of school. We will use the workbook to cover Section One this week. Each day students will be directed to read a section of the textbook and complete the matching workbook pages. I will spend time teaching students how the book is organized, recognizing text markers and the importance of illustrations. It is my hope that the workbook assignments will help students to read the textbook slowly and carefully. Each day I will review the assigned sections and go over the workbook answers in class. By the end of the week all students should have the workbook pages complete and corrected. These questions will serve as a study guide for the Lesson One quiz. See below for assignments:
- Monday: Read textbook pages 18-20. Complete workbook pages 5-6, questions #1-#8. We will work on this in class, but students will be expected to complete the workbook pages for homework each night.
- Tuesday: Read textbook pages 21-23. Complete workbook pages 6-7, questions #9-#16.
- Wednesday: Read textbook pages 24-25, workbook pages 7-8, questions #17-#24.
- Thursday: Field Trip!
- Friday: Read textbook pages 25-27. Complete workbook page 8, questions #25-#33.
