- All students should have returned a student and parent signed Roanoke County Safety Contract, which allows students to participate in classroom experiments.
- Students should have a spiral notebook to function as the Interactive Notebook no later than Monday, August 30. This notebook will take the place of the science textbook, with content notepages provided for students. Those students whose notebooks are smaller than the required 9"x11" will have to cut any pages that will be taped into this notebook. Notebooks will be kept by the students and brought to class daily.
- On Monday, students will receive an overview of the science course, the "Course Organizer," which will be taped onto the first two pages of their interactive notebook. Following that, Notepage #1 will contain the 10 safety rules set forth by Roanoke County, and students will be tested on these safety rules at the end of next week.
