Welcome New Students and Parents!

After a great first day, it's my pleasure to welcome new students, parents, etc., to our class website. I will update it weekly (typically on Sunday afternoon or evening) with an overview of the week's work and assignments. Although it may not cover classwork day by day, the website should give a clear understanding of:

1. What skills and information is currently being covered in class
2. Handouts or slideshows on which this information can be found
3. Current projects, with due date, and a general description of the week's potential homework.
4. Links to current handouts which can be downloaded and printed
5. Other relevant information and links

Tonight's Homework:

• Students should show parents the science syllabus and the Roanoke County Science Safety Rules. Parents and student should sign and return the safety rules sheet asap.
• Students are to discuss their current spiral notebook with their parent to determine what to do if it is not the 9"x11" size required. Handouts (such as the safety rules) should fit onto a notebook page without any edges sticking out. The students whose notebooks are too small will suffer all year with the organizational problem of having to cut each of their handouts to fit. Also, some handouts will lose some wording as areas are trimmed. Please see if you can return notebooks to exchange them for a larger size.
