Dear Parents,
Despite what your child may be saying to convince you otherwise:
1. I am NOT taking up their science book, and
2. I am still actively teaching science!
The number of students who came to my class today with nothing but their science book to turn in to me was staggering. (No pencil, paper, or planner makes life more difficult for a teacher.)Unfortunately, some students assumed that I was finished teaching for the year. This could not be more untrue. Our field trip on Tuesday is an important curriculum day, where students will continue to learn about our last unit, Water and Watersheds. After that I plan to finish teaching about watersheds on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday will be the only true exam review day, although some classes will have Monday. I will pass out an exam review study guide by Wednesday of next week.
Thanks for your support at home in keeping kids on task. I will do my best to make classes enjoyable.
