This week we will be investigating the "magnetic" properties of water as we investigate the Deep Horizon oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. We will learn the concepts of the last unit of the year, water and watersheds, through our study of how the oil spill in the gulf and flood in Tennessee have affected ecosystems and the people who inhabit them.
The pre-AP students are finalizing their ideas for "The Power of One" project. Mrs. Luckie helped us every day last week to refine ideas of ways we can make a difference. I would like to emphasize that sometimes the smallest thing can lead to ripples that change the world. In the case of this project, small is not only good, it's great! Change starts from baby steps.
