Monday starts the two week window of VA Standards of Learning testing. Although it will disrupt normal class schedules on the testing days, we will be conducting regular classes on a normal schedule on all others. On Monday all students will take the reading test, on Thursday students will take the 6th grade math test, and on Friday the accelerated math (NOT advanced math) will take the algebra test. Of course it is important for all students to come to school well rested, and we will do everything possible to lower the stress and make it a positive experience.
During this week we will conclude our weather unit and begin the last unit of the year on Water and Watersheds. The science class periods that meet on SOL days will decompress with indoor and outdoor gardening activities.
