This week we will begin our mini-unit on the introduction to matter (chemistry). By the end of this week, students will have been expected to read Chapter One, Section One, pages 18-27, in their textbook (which should be at home). Monday night they should read pages 18-20, Tuesday night's homework is to read pages 21-23, and Wednesday night they should read (or re-read) pages 24-27. Each day we will be completing the corresponding pages in the workbook. On Thursday I will give out Matter Notepage #1, which will summarize this information so that students will know what will be expected on the next quiz.
We will be working the garden this week, as well, harvesting radishes and making "Radish-top Soup" and planting garlic and more onions and seeds. We have been selected by the Square Foot Gardening Foundation for an exciting product test. See the garden website for more information.
