September 14-18: This Week in Science

This week we continue our formal study of scientific investigation skills through an informal method called gardening :-) The content of this study is contained on Notepage #2, found as a link under "Class Handouts" on this webpage. Students will receive this handout on Monday and will have a check-up quiz to measure their understanding of observation, inference, and hypothesis on Thursday. However, more importantly, we will learn these higher-level thinking skills by practicing them with the garden and in our outdoor classroom. (Thank you, Nicholas Kidd, for making your Eagle Scout project one that benefits so many.) A study guide for continued practice will be distributed on Tuesday.
