This Week in Science: August 31- September 4

This week we will focus on safety rules while learning about several properties of water. These properties of water (adhesion, cohesion, and surface tension) are necessary for plants to move water through their roots, stems, and leaves. On Tuesday we will perform a safety lab in class, and by the end of the week all students will have written a lab report, complete with scientific conclusion. We will augment our study of safety and water by spending time at the Glenvar Garden, preparing for fall planting.
