By the end of this week, all students should have a spiral notebook to be used as their "interactive notebook." This notebook will serve as their textbook, and all information that we cover this year will be contained in it. For that reason I've asked that all students' notebooks are the 8 1/2" or 9" x 11" size (these will only be found as college-ruled). This over-size notebook will allow your child to tape in a full size sheet of computer paper. We have found this to be extra important for students who have organizational or fine-motor difficulties, as no cutting is required.
Today (Tuesday), Walmart has this size in limited colors (purple) and minimal quantities for $1.50. However, across the street, CVC Pharmacy has unlimited colors and quantities. Unfortunately, they are about $4.00 a piece. Any number of pages will do, as you can always purchase a second notebook later in the year. Thanks for your help in getting this larger notebook.
